Vince Tate, CPA, CMA, CVA, CBI

Vince grew up in Clarksville, Arkansas.  He went to Catholic grade school and graduated high school from Subiaco Academy, an all male Catholic boarding school. He received his B.A. degree with a major in economics and business from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.

His professional career began at Deloitte and Touche, LLP, where he was involved as a Certified Public Accountant in performing audits and due diligence procedures related to mergers and acquisitions.

After five years with Deloitte, one of Vince's clients hired him to become their Chief Financial Officer.  As CFO of Williams Tool Company, a family-owned oilfield services company, Vince was involved in acquisitions of other companies and expansion of the company internationally.  The company more than doubled in revenues during the first three years Vince was on board and, at that time, was acquired for $64 million dollars.

The purchaser was Weatherford, a multi-billion dollar public company (NYSE: WFT).  After the acquisition, Vince was named General Manager of Weatherford manufacturing plants in Arkansas and worked in that capacity for five years assisting in the post-acquisition integration of Williams Tool Company, J&J Rubber and Plastic Molding Company and Canadian Alpine Oil Services.

It was after thirteen years of viewing acquisitions from different perspectives that Vince moved his family to Northwest Arkansas and started Tate Business Brokers in the fall of 2004.

Over his career, Vince has worked closely with business valuation experts in conducting valuations of 100% business interests, minority equity interests, and reasonable royalty rates for use of intangible assets.

Perhaps most importantly, Vince has personally sat on both sides of the table as both a business buyer and a business seller and knows first-hand how exciting and challenging buying or selling a business can be.
